Happy New Year Everyone!
I’m so excited to see what 2017 has in store!
Setting goals & achieving them is one of the biggest contributors to life satisfaction. However, we must make sure these goals are realistic, as well as achievable.
In order to help me plan what I would like to achieve this year I will be using this happiness planner from here.
This version is not dated, and is designed for 100 days of entries, to increase self awareness, positivity & growth.
The first few pages are for self reflection, noting down what makes you happy/unhappy, your strengths and weaknesses as well as habits you would like to improve and achievements, to create a happiness roadmap.
I spent some time last night creating my happiness roadmap and it was a wonderful exercise, thinking about all the positivity in my life – its so easy to focus on the negatives.
Admittedly, I struggle with worrying about things I cannot control, dwelling on events that haven’t gone as expected, and analysis paralysis – overthinking to the point where no decisions get made. Now that I’m aware of these things, I’m taking steps to overcome them, and will post an update on my progress along the way.
Setting professional & personal goals long-term goals has given me the clarity to understand what short-term goals to set, to make them happen.
Take some time out to reflect on your life, your goals and achievements, focus on the positives and remind yourself of everything you are grateful for.
Here’s to 100 days of happiness, mindfulness & positivity!
